D001 - 2-3/8" Hornstone dovetail, Found in Boone CO. KY. Ex- Goodge. Great little dove. Was $90, now $75

 

 
D002 - 5-1/2" Flint ridge button base Dovetail, found in Fairfield Co. Ohio, Ex- Jack Hooks. this is one big piece of flint with good history. The piece has been broken in half and glued back together, the break is so clean that you cannot see it and nobody ever notices it when I display it. Translucent around the edges. Here's your chance to own a big dove with good history without the huge price tag. $1250

 


D003 - 4" Earl Townsend signed harrodsberg dovetail, Indiana piece, Ex- C.W. Fair, Ex- Earl Townsend JR. , Ex- Jeff Mills. Pictured in Who's Who #10 in Dr. Moran's Col. Authentic Perino COA. WAS $1000, NOW $675


 


D004 - 4" Upper mercer button base dovetail, found along the shore of Lake Erie in Erie Co. Ohio, Ex- Strunk. very nice coloration to the piece with the contrasting grey and blue/black. A couple of old minor nicks to the piece to keep it honest. Great piece displays very well. Was $750, Now $400


D005 - 5-1/4" Flint ridge Dovetail, too bad about the small but devastating break on the base. one of the finest worked doves I have ever seen. No brainer authentic, the break is as old as the piece too. won't find another authentic one with this material and size for sale for this price. $1200




D006 - 3-1/2" Burlington Dovetail, Illinois piece, very fine work on this piece. Ex- C. Williams. Was $750, Now $650

 



D007 - 5" Dover/ Ft. Payne chert Indented base dovetail in its primary form, meaning no sharpening ( beveling), Randolph Co. IND. found by Keisling , Ex- Gilley, Davis COA G8. You don't see many of this size come up for sale!! Was $1200, NOW $600



D008 - Ultra Rare - 3-1/2" Hornstone clipped wing dovetail, Kentucky piece, Ex- Hall, Ex- Davis, Davis COA G9, $550, NOW $400



D009 - 3-7/8" Hornstone dovetail found in Butler Co. OH. by E. Cummins, Great piece with part of a bullseye on it, the ding on the side is ancient. Ex- Robert Converse, Perino COA.  Was $400, Now $250


D010 - 3-1/8" flint ridge dovetail, Central Ohio piece, Ex- Dave Warner of Who's Who #4, Ex- Hugh Schiller. Very nice well worked dove. Was $350, Now $250




D011 - 3-5/8" Wayne county chert dovetail, found in Wayne Co. Ky. Ex- Tom Davis, Ex- Jim Goodge, Very nicely made and a rare material for a dove to be made of. Slight translucency on the edges. Davis COA Grade - 9.  $1050





D012 - 4" Breathitt chert dovetail. Most likely a kentucky piece because of the base confirguation. no history though, except it was in the Walter Nelson Collection (see Who's Who #1) Very nice piece. $900



D013 - 2 burlington dovetails from St. Clair Co. Ill. Ex- Whepley Coll. Both of the pieces have issues, the bottom(4-3/4") one has a broken base and the top (3-3/4") one somebody tried to dress up the tip by sanding it down modernly. $250 for both
