Woodland through Historic Artifacts

W001 - 9" hornstone Cache blade, with double bulls eyes, largest in a cache of 109 blades. IND piece, loads of info with this piece. I believe it weighs 3 pounds. Ex- Mullis, Ex- Schiller, Ex- Dickinson. $900

W002 -  4-3/8" Hornstone Turkey Tail. Great color with the bullseye on one side. Ex- Miller. Was $550, Now $450

W003
- 2-1/2" Moss agate Hopewell found in Rochester NY, Ex - Ken McDaniels. absolutly fabulous hopewell and about as rare material as you can get on a hopewell. The tip is made rounded and is not a break in anyway. $250

W004 - 4-1/4" Onondaga Chert Ashtabula, Found in North East Ohio, Ex- Jack Hooks catalog # 99A. Was $550, Now $400

W005 - 5-1/4" Hornstone Dickson, Western Indiana piece, Ex- Dr. Imboden, Ex- Brian Coffey. Huge piece with a few dings that keeps it affordable. $500

W006 - Don't get too excited this is just a cast of a famous Hopewell effigy pipe. Still old, I would guess about 80 to 100 years old. it is 3-7/8" long by 3" tall. Though it is a cast it is still a neat piece, for most of us who can't afford to own a real one this would make a nice conversation piece. This is a cast of a famous pipe that is in the Ohio Historical Society's collection. The image is of a wolf or fox. I also believe this pipe is pictured in Who's Who #2 towards the front. Ex - Brian Coffee $100 ON HOLD

W007 - 3" Upper Mercer blade from Summit Co. OH Ex- Copeland. nice good size blade that is very thin and made well. $80

W008 - 1-1/2" Upper mercer jacks reef from Summit Co. OH. Ex- Jones. complete piece that is very nice. $45

W009 - 2-7/8" Moss agate hopewell from Miami Co. OH. The writing apears to be that of Dr. Stan Copeland. The piece has a small tip ding which holds it back from being an insanely valuable piece, also I forget to mention it's translucent. Don't let it slip away. $85.

W010 - 2-1/4" uppermercer flint hopewell found in Logan Co. OH. Ex- Dr. Meuser. I am having a hard time listing this one because it is so nice and has great history. The material may be ridge too, but mercer is a safe bet. These pieces of Meuser flint are very hard to come by and are becomming increasingly rare. Flawless! $400 the nicest hopewell I own

W011 - 2" coshocton hopewell from Union Co. OH. close to the same script writing as the piece above. Not as nice of a piece but still a worthy hopewell. It could be Dr. Meuser but I'm not 100%. $80

W012 - 5-1/2" hornstone turkeytail blade, from St. Clair Co. Ill. Ex- Dr. Whepley Coll. this is about as nice as they come. great history, size, and made very very well. Check out how this piece is flaked. I have full history on this piece with pics of the frames it came out of. $1500
